Brief Hotels descriptions: Amboseli Serena Lodge: Framed against the glorious backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, the magnificently beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro, surrounded by miles of rolling grasslands, patrolled by vast herds of elephant, shaded by the lush, feathered-green of an acacia grove and hugging the banks of a gently flowing river, this very traditional yet supremely luxurious lodge is the safari destination of a lifetime. Most rooms have a great view of the Mighty mountain – Kilimanjaro, and facilities here include a swimming pool. The Ark. The Yasabara Waterhole in the Aberdare National Park is a haven for wildlife as it contains both a waterhole and a salt lick. When the animals come to visit at night, a buzzer sounds in your cabin so that you can see the game in all their nocturnal glory… The photographic hide and various viewing decks make the Ark the perfect educational overnight stay as the animals can be studied at close range without disturbing them at all. Hot water bottles, blankets and hot drinks are available throughout the night to ensure comfortable game viewing. After breakfast the next morning, tired but happy with the night's show, you will be taken back to the Aberdare Country Club for the next stage of your trip! Mara Serena Safari Lodge: set on the saddle of a hill, overlooks the 1800 square km of the rolling plains, woodlands and rivers that make-up the Maasai Mara triangle – one of the worlds’ richest wildlife sanctuaries. No other lodge can boast such a spectacular of the surrounding landscape, game and birdlife. It is on this very much terrain stretching endlessly before the lodge where the annual migrations take place, when millions of Wildebeest, Zebra and gazelle transverse the landscape to feed on the rich new grass and give birth to their young. Accommodation is in 71 rooms all overlooking the plains below. Additional features include a floodlit swimming pool, poolside barbeque massage and beauty treatment, a water hole (where animals come to salt-lick), hippo pool breakfasts, musical Evenings, Maasai dances, wildlife films, resident naturalist lectures and game drives among others. Mara Sarova Lodge: is Located on the Eastern side of the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, close to the Sekenani Gate. The camp is set on an elevation surrounded by two streams. The grounds are beautifully laid out with trees and plants, and electrical fences surround the lodge. Accommodation is in 75 bed rooms (72 twin rooms and 3 triples), each of which is a luxurious tent. Each room has a permanent shower and WC, and permanent roof and zip-up front. Facilities here include Isokon Restaurant (with two sections, one internal and one external with a canopy) where guests are served with meals, Oloip Bar (with a cosy log fire place), and a swimming pool surrounded by comfortable sun-loungers. Guests are welcomed to this cool and clean camp with a glass of chilled fruit juice, and entertained in the evenings by traditional dancers.

After breakfast, you drive east of Nairobi via the main Nairobi – Mombasa highway to Tsavo West National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for game drive.

An early morning game drive in Tsavo West will be followed by breakfast at your lodge and thereafter, leave for Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for game drive and explorations of this park, which is so famous for the numerous herds of elephants as well as the spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania. Other animals present in the park are the giraffes, the zebras, wildebeest, impala, caracal, lions, leopards, cheetah and buffaloes to say some of them. You have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Today you enjoy the full day of game drives in the national park, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The lunch, dinner and overnight at the same lodge.

After breakfast, leave Amboseli via Nairobi and reach the small national park of Aberdares, in the Western region of Mount Kenya. Lunch will be served at the hotel before transferring to Tree Hotel (in the Hotel’s lodge-based transfer vehicle) for the rest of the afternoon and evening viewing game from your Hotel’s balconies as they frequent the floodlit waterholes.

After breakfast you transfer back to the base hotel. Drive to the western shoulder of Mt. Kenya arriving at Mount Kenya Safari Club for lunch. Thereafter, drive to the nearby Sweet Waters game sanctuary for an afternoon game drive, returning to your Hotel – The Mount Kenya Safari Club for dinner and overnight. FB

After breakfast, proceed further North across the Equator to the edge of the Northern Frontier district of Samburu – The Samburu National Reserve. Arrival will be in time for lunch and thereafter, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this reserve famous the ‘Big Cats’ – the Leopard, Cheetah and the Lion.

Today you will have game drives viewing along the tracks of Samburu National Reserve, one in the morning and one long in the evening. Return to the lodge for lunch and for dinner, overnight .nThe Samburu National Reserve is unique scenically and is also home to some of unique wildlife found in Kenya including the gerenuk, the gravy’s Zebra and reticulated giraffe. The Samburu (Maasai cousin’s!) abound here in their ochre. We can arrange a visit to the local Samburu village.

Leave after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will stop over at the Thompson Falls and descend the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley down to the park. Lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this small game and bird-filled park, famous for its population of flamingoes, rhinos, leopards, lions, giraffes. As you drive to the hills surrounding the park, you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the lake. Return to your lodge or camping at dusk for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, continue the journey past the Maasai town of Narok to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve – to many, the jewel and highlight of the safari expedition. Lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge or camping for dinner and overnight.

A full day in the Mara with game drive early morning and late afternoon, each of about 3 hours. This is where millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River from the Serengeti National Park of Tanzania to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve of Kenya - an annual spectacular event, which brings along thousands of plains game and predators to the Mara. From June to October the migration is from Kenya to Tanzania, while from November to May is from Serengeti to Masaai Mara. However, the phenomenon is more linket to the actual changes of weather.
