·      We have a “water policy”. We don’t use plastic bottles, but cans of water to be refilled in the vehicles; we avail corporate water metal bottles and we request the guests to bring with them their water bottles.

·      We use and avail corporate cotton bags during the tour to reduce and avoid use of plastic bags while shopping.

·      Our tours are “carbon neutral”. Our carbon emissions are computed and compensated through the reforestation project Every 5 Acres. We inform our guests about this policy and travelers can “plant a tree” in the reforestation area and also support Every 5 Acres.

·      We promote local typical products of Uganda. We inform guests about typical souvenirs of Uganda; we made our brand of typical food products as “Jungle Taste” available at Uganda Jungle Lodges; we provide guests with authentic local food experiences while on a tour.

·      We select the best eco-lodges with whom we partner for a more sustainable approach. As part of our sustainable accommodation policies, we select preferred eco-lodges and we inform guests about the importance and advantages of them. We explain how this helps us to reduce our environmental impact while giving back an authentic lodge experience.

·      We inform guests about selected community projects we partner with, in order to orient supports in a sustainable and meaningful manner.

·      We support Association for Conservation of Bugoma Forest (ACBF – www.bugomaconservation.org) for developing eco-tourism and income generating activities in remote communities in Uganda and for the conservation efforts to protect Bugoma Forest Reserve.
