Day 1 – Farmstay Zirobwe

In the afternoon you will arrive at the Farmstay in Zirobwe, a farm and homestead located in the North of Kampala.
Dinner and overnight at Farm Stay Zirobwe.

Day 2 – Farmstay Zirobwe

Breakfast and you will enjoy this paradise in an authentic rural area of Uganda. You will be able to rest in nature, visit the coffee plantations and work with the workers to harvest the coffee and see all its processing up close. You can visit and spend time learning and experiencing all the varieties of medicinal plants and herbs in the garden called “The Farmacy”. All the animals, the chickens, turkeys, ducks, goats, donkeys and sheep are free and drink from an artificial lake. The water system, for irrigation, for accommodation, kitchens and services, is designed and organized in a well-integrated circuit with no impact on the environment and where all the water is filtered and reused. This Farm is an authentic example of integrated sustainability. You will be able to greatly enjoy the knowledge of the people who work here, as well as enjoy the kindness of the animals that humans are willing to meet.

Sustainability Policies

We have a “water policy”: we don’t use plastic bottles, but cans of water to be refilled in the vehicles; please bring with you your bottle water.
Our tours are “carbon neutral”, whereby our carbon emissions are computed and compensated through the reforestation project Every 5 Acres.
Travelers can “plant a tree” in the reforestation project “One traveler, one tree, one forest” with KAFRED.
We support Association for Conservation of Bugoma Forest (ACBF – bugomaconservation.org) for developing eco-tourism and income generating activities in remote communities in Uganda and for the conservation efforts to protect Bugoma Forest Reserve.
We promote local typical products of Uganda and avail them under the brand “Jungle Taste”.
We use and avail cotton bags during the tour to reduce and avoid use of plastic bags while shopping.
We select the best eco-lodges with whom we partner for a more sustainable approach.
