Day 1 – Kampala / Entebbe - Jinja

Full board.

From an agreed location in Kampala or Entebbe, depart east to the town of Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital thanks to the source of the Nile and the attractions of the area.
Arrival scheduled for lunch time at the lodge.
In the afternoon, visit the source of the Nile with a guided canoe excursion to the point where the water of Lake Victoria gives life to the course of the Nile River, partly coming from underground.
Dinner and overnight at Lemala Wildwaters Lodge (U) or Haven Lodge / Adrift River Camp (C) or Gately on the Nile / 2 Friends Jinja Guest House (E).

Day 2 – Jinja

Full board.

After breakfast, today is dedicated to rest or adventure, with a wide choice of wonderful outdoor activities to enjoy the nature of the Nile River.
In particular, you can choose (optional with supplement) between: rafting on the Nile for half a day; excursion by boat on the Nile; guided excursion by mountain bike; guided excursion on horseback (1 and a half hours).
Dinner and overnight Lemala Wildwaters Lodge (U) or Haven Lodge / Adrift River Camp (C) or Gately on the Nile / 2 Friends Jinja Guest House (E).

Day 3 – Jinja – Kampala / Entebbe

Bed and Breakfast

After breakfast, you return to Kampala or Entebbe or transfer to Entebbe Airport for the flights.

Sustainability Policies

We have a “water policy”: we don’t use plastic bottles, but cans of water to be refilled in the vehicles; please bring with you your bottle water.
Our tours are “carbon neutral”, whereby our carbon emissions are computed and compensated through the reforestation project Every 5 Acres.
Travelers can “plant a tree” in the reforestation project “One traveler, one tree, one forest” with KAFRED.
We support Association for Conservation of Bugoma Forest (ACBF – bugomaconservation.org) for developing eco-tourism and income generating activities in remote communities in Uganda and for the conservation efforts to protect Bugoma Forest Reserve.
We promote local typical products of Uganda and avail them under the brand “Jungle Taste”.
We use and avail cotton bags during the tour to reduce and avoid use of plastic bags while shopping.
We select the best eco-lodges with whom we partner for a more sustainable approach.
